Hello! My name is Melanie Partin, and I am from the USA! More specifically, I am from Conway, Arkansas, that is where I grew up! I am someone who loves adventure, and I love learning about foreign cultures and languages. I also am so interested in Japanese culture! I consider myself to be a foodie, becuase I really like good food, and I really enjoy trying new foods from different countries. I also love nature, so any kind of outdoor activities, like hiking, swimming, or scuba diving- I enjoy it all. * Note: I am currently offering lessons at a lower rate than normal. This is a promotion so that I can meet more students, and because I'm just now coming back from a long break. Take advantage of it while you can! The rate is likely to increase after some time, so come get your lessons now while you still can at a cheaper rate from a native English speaker! I also really enjoy teaching English, and helping my students meet their goals! I have previous experience teaching English online, and I also have a TEFL teaching certification. It's really exciting to be a part of my students' progress in language learning, and watching them grow and excel in their studies. I enjoy free talking, and getting to know my students while at the same time giving them corrections on their grammar and pronounciation mistakes. I am happy to go through textbook learning with my students if you prefer, or we can use free materials online. I am particularly strong in grammar, and I can guide you through grammar rules if you would like to focus more on that.
Right now I am living in the Philippines! It's really cool to live in a foreign country! I have enjoyed experiencing the culture here, and learning about how it's different from my home. There have been many festivals that I have been able to attend as well, which has been awesome to experience! The festivals can be quite different depending on where you are in the Philippines, because the culture is different in different regions. The people here are also very friendly and hospitable. If you are curious about the culture here, we can talk about that in class! I also am curious about Japanese culture, so I'd love to learn more about that from you!
