I think people should work hard especially when they are young to know the value of job and money. After knowing severity of work and reality, they can appreciate free time. However, an opposite case won't work well like "An ants and a grasshopper."

Thank you for the interesting article! Overworking is tacitly regarded as normal in Japan. Many workers in big companies cannot report the accurate working time because it is illegal. Those companies should think about work-life balance.
