This is our first lesson. I sensed that he was trying very hard to make our lesson beneficial and fruitfull. I practiced making a short impromptu talk and during my speaking he was typing what I was saying and after that he started typing to make my talk simple and better. I was amazed by his typing speed! I also think he's sincere because he offerd me extending time due to interruption of dog's barking in his neighbor. Thanks for the lesson, Ken. I enjoyed it!

In today's lesson, I learned agriculture in the US has been changing. I had a stereotype that US agriculture is always on a big scale using big machines in huge field. But, recently there are small scale farms and farmers mart to sell the products. And organic products are widely accepted among the people in the US. Thank you for the pleasant lesson again!

There are some home works during the summer holiday in junior high school. The independent research, Arts or craft and so on. Since I was interested in electronics, I made a rain watcher when I was freshman. It was simple circuit, and was set off the alarm when we have a rain. Many people admired it, so I made telephone watcher when I was sophomore. It can indicate on the TV screen when telephone has calling. It was highly evaluated with teachers and board of education members of the city decided to exhibit it in the contest of invention which hosted by my prefecture. At the night before exhibition, suddenly the telephone watcher was out of order. I checked the circuit again and again until midnight, but couldn’t find any failure. Next morning, I handed it off which is not working, then I missed the award. I don’t create any electronic apparatus from then. I sometimes remember it and think what apparatus I will create if I were junior high school student of current era.

Thank you for your great lesson. Today, I learned phrases that I wrongly understood. I should have looked at more carefully. I appreciate your kind explanation. Look forward to seeing you soon, Gabriel-san.

久々のめぐみ先生のレッスンでついテンションが上がってしまったようです。how many~?は普段の生活でも練習しながら使えそうですね。親子でやってみます☆先生の話よりも自分が話したいようで(汗)でもレッスン終了後「めちゃくちゃ楽しかった」との一言でした。また次回もよろしくお願いします。

Today, I asked Mark to let me know the information on Nobel Literature Laureate, Kazuo Ishiguro and he told me how wonderful the movie of his work, Remains of the day, is and his wrting style. Additionally, I asked the meaning of "alternative facts" and he explained it by using of the example of report of Trump's inauguration ceremony. I fully understood that it means fake news. Thank you very much, Mark, for your exciting lesson as always.

We talked about the gun crime that has happened in LasVegas. Ahthoug it was difficult for me to come up with some ideas to take steps to stop such heinous crimes by guns, it's a good chance to think about social problems in the world. Mark always provides me inspiring and exciting topics and gives me valuable hints to create ideas. See you next time.
