Today, Mark showed me an interesting article about guideline to limit the amount of alcohole to avoid excess drinking. Mark kindly explained my unfamiliar words and phrases such as "unit" used to presenting alcoholic strength, 1 unit=8 gms of alchol. This is commonly used in UK to compare alchol strength fairly by each kind of alchol. " rest on one's laurels" = to be satisfied with what you have achieved and therefore stop trying to achieve anything new. John likes to play soccer. He is sort of ball hog, glutton for soccer. Avid fan of soccer . roots for a local soccer time, The fanatic fan boos the adversary time, hoots the umpire and he says that do it to destress, relieve stress. He chants team`s anthem with all supporters. catcalls the opponent`s goals. John rides bus to go to the stadium , cedes his seat to a elderly person or a pregnant woman and scoots over to other passengers to sit. In contradiction to, funnily enough, he leeched off his parents when he was young, he was pampered by his parent, a well-bred child. John likes to crack jokes to his subordinates and many times are corny jokes and has been fallen flat, they say it is unbearable jokes. Nobody knows that he is a philanderer, John is good at conceals it. The go-getter businessman is also astute,shrewd and clever. John is a fantasy of all men. |
