Today I read an article ‘I was a teacher for 17 years, but I couldn’t read or write’ with Mark. It was interesting to read and not difficult. But there were new expressions and words to learn, such as siblings, defiant, clown, articulate, hostile, and disruptor. Thank you for the lesson and see you soon! |

We talked about pickling shallots and salty plums. I explained my way to make them and Janine corrected my words into natural expressions such as "remove the skin of shallots" not "peel the skin of shallots". We enjoyed talking and I learned a lot of proper expressions. Thank you very much, Janine for your helpful and useful advice. See you next time. |

We continued to read an article about investment. It had good vocaburalies such as "in a vacuum (being separate from things)", "recoup (get something back)", and "outside my parameter (beyon my limitations)". I really enjoyed learning about investment with Terry. Thank you Terry. |

In this lesson I read an article entitled ‘Fatal congestion’: 2020 Olympics could paralyze Tokyo’s famed subway system, study warns'with Richard. It was about Japanese transport. It's always interesting looking Japan from outside. I wanted to talk my thought more but I couldn't collect my idea about the topic well. Richard described meaning of words and expression which were new for me clearly, so I understood them well. Thank you for the lesson and see you soon! |
