Beginners are welcome!  I have experience teaching English to beginners in Japan.  I worked at an English school in Aichi and taught 5 beginner classes a week.  I enjoyed teaching these classes.  

Intermediate/Advanced:

Hello, I am a TESOL and TEFL certified English teacher with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I have over 5 years of teaching experience to businessmen/businesswomen, housewives, and students of all levels.  I like to talk about politics, the economy, education, sports, all things about Japan and the USA.

I previously lived in Honolulu, Hawaii for over 12 years. My family and I loved the lifestyle there. I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I know and love Japan from traveling here many times.  Currently I am working at an English school, and yes I do speak some Japanese.  

I worked for 2 of the largest media (newspaper/TV) companies in Los Angeles and the Honolulu newspaper.  My work as an executive took me all over the USA meeting business officials. I genuinely enjoyed meeting and interacting with clients and have found the same joy in meeting new students on Eigox.  It is a real pleasure to speak and interact with such dedicated people wanting to learn the English language. With my experience, I know I can help you with your conversation skills - whether you are a beginner or advanced.  I also welcome those who would like to work on their writing.

Being able to work with students individually makes it more fun.  It allows me to prepare a lesson plan for a specific type of person - which I enjoy.  I have seen how I have helped others with their vocabulary, pronunciation, to be more comfortable speaking English.   I make my lessons educational, useful, helpful, and effective, for each student.  I understand how important it is to be patient, kind, and supportive during a lesson.  Watching students grow in their English skills has been very rewarding and has made me a more dedicated teacher.
