Introduction:

Hello, my name is Jules and I am keen to help you improve your conversational English.  I am British and am a qualified school teacher.  Attending two different UK universities, I qualified with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Doctorate (PhD) in chemistry; I also attended Oxford University where I qualified with a teaching degree.

With adult students, I am happy to read and discuss a range of free-talk topics including travel, cultural differences, employment, current affairs and news. My hobbies include current affairs, reading, hiking, community gardening, global travel and professional road-race cycling.  I am interested to discuss and learn more about Japan and Japanese culture.

With school students, I can assist with English as well as studies in science (biology, physics and chemistry).  I am experienced with working with a wide range of school aged students - ages 5 to 18 years.  I can assist with preparation for school examinations and entrance examinations, including CEM, GL and CAT tests.

I am also happy to provide you with guidance if you require assistance with written work, either writing or translating texts.  I am able to help with IELTS preparation, such as developing conversational English.

I have visited Japan on vacation a few times.
