Hello, everyone!  初めまして.

My name is Odette, and I’m from Manila, Philippines. I’m a cheerful person who loves traveling whenever I get the chance. Exploring new places is one of my favorite things to do, and I enjoy capturing memories with my camera, which is my ultimate travel companion. I’m also a big animal lover—I have three cats, a dog, and even some turtles!

I was previously part of a US-based IT company here in Manila. This has given me the opportunity to travel to various countries, including the US, Japan, Mexico, Hong Kong, and London.

I can speak and understand conversational Japanese, which has been one of my motivations for teaching. This ability allows students of all ages, especially beginners, to express themselves more comfortably in their native language, making it easier for me to understand them.

Teaching kids is something I’m passionate about, and my goal is to help them develop self-confidence and trust in their abilities. I aim to motivate and inspire them while maintaining a positive and relaxed atmosphere in every lesson. Creating a supportive environment allows them to feel comfortable and thrive as they learn.

My strong Japanese speaking ability is one of my greatest strengths. I am especially blessed to have experience teaching young English learners, such as children.

This ability breaks down the language barrier and makes students feel at ease when learning English because I can explain things in a way that is easy to understand.

With this skill, I am able to easily explain concepts to my students based on their current language ability, making their learning experience more approachable and less intimidating.

Furthermore, I have a natural connection and familiarity with my students, which helps me build trust and create a fun and encouraging environment so they feel comfortable expressing themselves without feeling embarrassed. This combination of skills allows me to effectively guide my students while keeping them motivated and focused on their learning.

私は日常会話程度の日本語を話したり理解したりできるので、それが私が教える動機の一つになっています。この能力により、あらゆる年齢層の生徒、特に初心者が自分の言語でより快適に自己表現できるようになり、私も彼らの言葉を理解しやすくなります。

私は、日本語を話せる能力が高いことが自分の大きな強みです。特に子供たちのように幼い英語学習者の指導経験が幸福です。

その能力は言語の壁を無くし、生徒たちに分かりやすく説明ができるので英語学習時に安心感を与えます。

このスキルを活かして、生徒たちの現在の言語能力に合わせて概念を簡単に説明することができ、学習体験をより親しみやすく、怖くないものにすることができます。

さらに、私は生徒たちと自然なつながりで親しみやすくすることができます。それは、生徒たちとの間に信頼関係を築き、楽しく励みになる環境を作ることができますので、子どもたちは恥ずかしさを感じないで自分を表現しやすくなります。このスキルの組み合わせにより、生徒たちを効果的に導きつつ、彼らが学ぶことに対して意欲を持ち、集中できるようにすることができます。

Learning a new language can be challenging—at times it may feel overwhelming, intimidating, and even tedious. However, with strong determination and perseverance, along with the guidance of a supportive teacher, you can undoubtedly improve your knowledge and skills.

Learning doesn’t have to be stressful or rigid. I focus on building a good relationship with my students to create an enjoyable learning experience. By keeping lessons engaging and interesting, I aim to motivate them to improve their English skills.
