Hello! My name is Shawn, and I’m from the Philippines. I’m passionate about teaching English because I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable, comfortable, and practical. I want my students to feel confident expressing themselves in English, whether they are talking about their hobbies, daily life, travel, work, or other topics that interest them. My lessons are friendly and conversational, but I also provide helpful corrections and guidance when needed. My strengths include pronunciation correction, conversational English, and Business English. With my background in Management, Accountancy, and Tourism Management, I can also help students practice English for work, travel, customer service, and everyday situations. I’m a friendly, patient, and easygoing person who enjoys meeting people, learning about different cultures, traveling, and having meaningful conversations. I also had the wonderful opportunity to live in Nagasaki, Japan for 10 months as an exchange student, where I experienced Japanese culture and volunteered to teach English to elementary and high school students and members of the local community.
