Hello! I’m Disney from the Philippines, and I have been living and working in Japan since 2020 😊

I am a licensed teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, along with TESOL and TEYL certifications. Since moving to Japan, I have been teaching English in public schools, working closely with students to improve their communication skills and confidence. Before coming to Japan, I also worked as a teacher in the Philippines, where I handled young learners and helped them build strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing, and grammar. In addition, I have professional experience in accounting, which strengthened my organizational skills and attention to detail.

I have experience teaching both young learners and adults in classroom and online settings. Because I live and work in Japan, I understand the common challenges Japanese learners face. I can also speak and understand basic Japanese, which allows me to give simple support when necessary.

What motivates me most is seeing my students grow. It is truly fulfilling to watch them gain confidence and use English in real-life situations. I also feel inspired when students remember me because I made a positive impact on their learning journey.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and conversation-focused. I am especially strong in free talk, pronunciation correction, and explaining grammar and vocabulary in a clear and simple way. I am flexible and happy to adjust lessons according to each student’s goals.
