Hi! My name is Bernadette M. Lingatores. I’m 28 years old and proudly from the Philippines.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education and am currently pursuing my Doctorate. I’m also a licensed professional teacher, fully qualified to teach both in formal classrooms and online settings. In addition, I have a TEFL certificate, which allows me to teach English to both children and adults.
I’ve been a classroom teacher in the Philippines for over four years, and from 2020 to 2024, I also worked as an ESL teacher. Teaching English brings me so much joy especially when I see my students grow in confidence and ability. I would describe myself as cheerful, optimistic, and passionate about learning and exploring new cultures. These qualities help me connect well with students from diverse backgrounds.
When it comes to teaching, I use a variety of lesson styles depending on the student’s level and needs. For adult learners, I often use the direct method, encouraging open communication while reinforcing correct grammar and vocabulary through positive feedback. For young learners, I use TPR (Total Physical Response) to keep lessons engaging, fun, and interactive.
My strengths include building rapport with students, correcting pronunciation and grammar in a supportive way, and showing cultural sensitivity in my teaching approach.
