Hi! I’m Joseph — originally from Canada, but I’ve been calling Japan home for the past 11 years. Since moving here, life’s been pretty amazing: I got married, we bought a condo, and we even have a cat who pretty much rules the house. I’m super passionate about staying active and love watching sports, especially ice hockey, baseball, and sumo (nothing beats the energy of a live sumo match!). I’m also a bit of a travel junkie — I’ve been lucky enough to visit around 35 countries and have lived in Japan, South Korea, and Scotland. Each place left a big mark on me and definitely fueled my love for adventure. When I’m not out exploring the world, I’m probably gaming. I still keep up with the latest video games and proudly consider myself a lifelong gamer. Work-wise, teaching is my passion. I’ve been doing it for over 25 years, both in Canada and overseas. I’ve taught students of all ages, in all sorts of settings, and I love creating custom lessons that fit each student’s needs — from little kids just starting out to seniors mastering English later in life. One of my biggest strengths is speech correction — helping people sound as natural and fluent as possible, with the right intonation, rhythm, and speed. I really believe English should sound alive, not robotic! |
