"There are no mistakes in learning, only lessons to be learned."
Thank you for taking the time to check on my teacher profile. I am thrilled to introduce myself. My name isJUSTINEoryou can call me "TINE" and I’m excited to be your English tutor! 🌟
You might be wondering who I am so here are some INTERESTING (MAYBE NOT) FACTS ABOUT ME.
I am currently living in the Philippines.
I am in the last year of my undergraduate degree. I am a 4th-year student of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English. I am now a pre-service teacher undergoing my internship where I teach high school students the English language.
I have previous experience of teaching ESL international students online (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian, and Turkish).
I have taught ESL students from various proficiency levels and age groups.
My hobbies are playing chess, reading books, acting, and writing essays.
I enjoy and love teaching and seeing students learn.
I am a good listener and a patient kind of person.
I am still learning.
I love learning from my students as well because I believe that learning should be reciprocal. You learn from me, I learn from you.
Now that you have an idea about who I am, I guess it is time for you to know the most important things.
WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT IN OUR CLASS?
Learning should be fun and rewarding same as learning English. As your tutor, I will try my best to make you feel at ease in the class. I believe that once a student feels nervous or less confident, the less he/she absorbs the lesson. Don't worry, I am here to help you every step of the way.
Whether you want to improve your speaking, listening, reading, or writing skills, we’ll work together to reach your goals.
Ibelieve in student-centeredness. You as a student take an active role in your learning. I, as your tutor, am your facilitator and I will guide you according to your learning needs.
I love making lessons exciting and easy to understand. So expect that if you want to learn in a fun way we might play games, talk about interesting topics, and practice real-life English conversations!
Mistakes are part of success. Do not feel embarrassed if you feel that your skill in speaking is not good enough. I value constructive criticism. You are here to learn so it is part of the process. Do not be afraid of making mistakes, small progress is still progress.
I hope you read all of these. Let’s learn English in a fun and friendly way. I can’t wait to meet you and start our learning adventure! 🚀
