My name is Abi. I am 28 years old, and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. 
私の名前はアビーです。私は 28 歳です、南アフリカのケープタウンに住んでいます。

はじめまして ~

I grew up in County Waterford, Republic of Ireland. 
私はアイルランド共和国（南アイルランド）のウォーターフォード州で育ちました。

I graduated from university with a double major in English Literature and Communication Sciences. I completed my Level 5 TEFL in 2017. I completed my CELTA (Formerly known as the Certificate in Teaching English to Adults, now known as the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at the University of Cambridge in 2019.
私は英文学とコミュニケーション科学の二重専攻で大学を卒業しました。私は 2017 年にレベル 5 の TEFL を取得しました。2019 年にケンブリッジ大学で CELTA (以前は成人向け英語教育証明書として知られていましたが、現在は他言語話者への英語教育証明書として知られています) を取得しました。

I love teaching because I enjoy meeting new people and helping people. I also love languages! I have been teaching English for more than 8 years.
My favourite thing about teaching is helping my students comfortably and confidently express themselves in English.

I like languages because they can teach me more about different people and their cultures. I can also speak to more people and hear about their experiences, their country, and their personality. 
In my lessons I try my best to focus on making sure the student is comfortable and enjoying themself. I want my students to reach their goals happily and in their own time. Every student is different! 

My personal strengths are being patient and adapting to my students' needs. In the classroom, my strengths are correcting grammar and pronunciation, and giving more opportunities for the student to practice. After the lesson, I aim to write a thorough report as soon as possible that highlights points to work on and improve. I am very happy to suggest study methods and free online material like movies, books, music, etc. 

In my free time, I do many things. For example, I study Japanese and Korean, I practice calligraphy, and I sew and knit. I am very interested in art and creative activities. I also like to learn about the history of different creative activities. 
自由時間にはいろいろなことをします。日本語と韓国語を勉強し、書道を練習し（私の好きな日本語の文字は「雨」です）、裁縫や編み物をしています。

I have a dog called Rocky, and I love all animals. 
私は犬を飼っています、彼の名前はロッキーです。私はすべての動物が大好きです。
