My name is Mariane, but you can call me Bel. It’s very nice to meet you!

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education and I’m currently a first-grade teacher. I’ve also been an English tutor for four years. Ever since I was young, I’ve had a strong passion for learning and teaching English. I love how flexible the language is—no matter where you’re from, even knowing the basics of English allows you to communicate and connect with others.

In my free time, I enjoy playing the kalimba, learning new languages, and watching films and anime—especially works by Hayao Miyazaki and Junji Ito. I’m also very interested in Japanese culture.

My strengths in English are pronunciation and vocabulary, areas I’m particularly passionate about, though I’m also attentive to other aspects of the language. I would describe myself as shy but friendly. I love the idea of making new friends from all around the world.

When I teach, I’m quite chill and laid-back because I want my students to feel comfortable and confident. At the same time, my goal is to help them become more fluent in English.
