Konnichiwa! My name is Francis, I am 26 years-old, and I was born and raised in South-East London. Prior to coming across Eigox, I had been teaching English on Cambly, as well as indirectly helping out my non-native friends with their vocabulary, idiomatic phrases, and their pronunciation. I have communicated with a lot of non-native speakers during my previous jobs in the retail and insurance sectors, and I have also visited the Philippines three times, where I managed to help out non-natives with a few simple words and phrases in English. I found that a lot of speakers used "broken-English" to communicate, so I decided to help them complete their sentences as best as I could during conversations. I graduated from my BA English and American Literature course back in 2019, where I achieved a 2.1 and, in 2022 and 2023 respectively, I completed three TEFL courses (including my 120-hour certificate and my 30-hour Business English certificate). I am now looking to move forward from my time on Cambly, and challenge myself further with Eigox. My main reason for choosing Eigox is that I really enjoy teaching English online, and I am planning on making a long-term career out of it. So far, I have enjoyed interacting with students on an international scale, from different countries and continents, and learning about their different cultures during my lessons. I had previously maintained students on Cambly from places like: Korea, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Brazil and China. I have also had some positive experiences with Japanese students, particularly trial lesson students that I have had, and I felt that I was able to strike the right balance between bringing students out of their shell, whilst also focusing on what they were looking to accomplish at a given time.
