自己紹介：	I will post my schedule day by day! Every morning I will open the lessons for that day. I will teach every day of the week from 7am-6pm, but my schedule will post every morning. You can book within 5 minutes of a lesson! Hi! I'm Katie from New York City! I am an English teacher with a love of art and history. I have a bachelor's degree, a teaching certificate, and nine years of teaching experience. I can help you with conversation, homework, test prep, proofreading and editing, and anything else you need! I am a fun and positive person, and in my free time, I love studying and reading! I enjoy exploring new cultures through their art and literature. I would love to move to Japan as my next destination, and I just started studying Japanese artists and authors. I love the work of Hiroshi Senju. I got the opportunity to see some of his paintings in person in New York, and I think they are emotional and breathtaking. I am also reading a collection of short stories by Edogawa Ranpo. He is very clever and atmospheric, and I enjoy reading his spooky stories on rainy nights. I also adore poetry and recently discovered the beautiful poems of Izumi Shikibu. I would love to hear how her poems sound without translation. This is a wonderful motivation for me to learn Japanese. I am always eager to learn from my students! I love being introduced to the things that inspire them. I would be delighted to hear about your favorite hobbies, topics, and pastimes and incorporate them into our lessons! I am excited to share what I discover with you and eager to hear about the things that inspire you! As a teacher, I will focus on helping you feel comfortable speaking. Most students I come across have a high degree of comprehension but struggle to feel confident when they speak. I think gentle practice in a peaceful environment is the best thing to encourage speaking. I am very easy to talk to and only teach with positive reinforcement. It is essential to me that, as my student, you will feel supported and encouraged while you learn. I continuously adapt to the needs of my students. Whether you prefer free conversation flow or specific structured lesson plans, I will prepare the perfect learning environment unique to you. I hope I get to be your teacher! Katie
