ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Sharika, and I am eager to join you on your English-speaking journey.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a TESOL certification. I currently teach English as a foreign language to students worldwide. I have thousands of hours of online teaching experience with students from various backgrounds including, China, Japan, Spain, Turkey, Taiwan, Korea, and Saudi Arabia. In addition, I have worked in corporate environments and have many years of training experience. I trained interns on telephone etiquette and business writing skills.

I am passionate about animals, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, tasting various cuisines, and ensuring that my students learn something new in each lesson

I enjoy meeting and speaking with people from all over the world. I enjoy listening to music and watching movies. I love reading about personal development and motivation. I love spending time with family and interacting with animals. I also enjoy dancing and imparting knowledge to others.

Additionally, I love sharing my skill set with others so that they feel confident and comfortable when speaking the English language I am extremely passionate about assisting my students to reach their potential.

TEACHING STYLE

My teaching philosophy is a combination of the facilitator, demonstrator, and hybrid styles of teaching. I believe in interactive, learner-focused, and content-focused lessons.

I am friendly, flexible, patient, understanding, and approachable as each student is different. It is important for me to identify your goals and weaknesses so that your English skills can improve significantly. I prefer using a variety of resources during the lessons which will be tailored to your specific needs and goals. At the end of each lesson, I will provide you with detailed feedback, a performance report, and personalized notes that you can use to improve your weaknesses.

I always strive to improve my students' overall English skills and believe in a natural, casual approach to teaching so that you are comfortable and confident when speaking in English.
