I am a carefree person, a pet lover, a book enthusiast and a language learner. I mainly enjoy my leisure time of early morning being in the comforts of my home while drinking a nice warm cup of chocolate and listening to some Bossa Nova music.

I have been living in Japan for over 4 years now and it has been such an experience for me! Growing up, Japan was just a farefetched dream; the Land of the Rising Sun as they say, and I never fully understood why until I moved here a couple of years ago and would be awoken by the rays of the sun on my face at 4:30 in the morning! It was very strange for me at first, but black out curtains definitely helped solve that problem. Then I found out that Japan was more than just anime, or video games and cherry blossoms. I learned to appreciate deeply the wondrously preserved culture that has stayed relevant until today despite it being a highly developed country in the field of technology and other industries. I loved the kindness of the Japanese people, the excellent train system and even the vending machine in each corner in case I needed a bottle of water to quench my thirst.

I have experienced teaching English both in my native country, the Philippines as well as in Japan for a total of 8 years now and counting. I always feel a sense of satisfaction seeing the progress of my students in their journey of learning English, children and adults alike. It motivates me even more to be a good educator and also to help them be more comfortable in expressing their feelings in their second language however they can. English is now regarded as a global language used as a standard choice for communication and there is a great demand to learn it. I aim to assist students reach their full potential while not only learning the proper pronunciation, grammar and structure but also help them enjoy the process while doing so.
