I am a science, technology, and education enthusiast currently pursuing a Doctorate study in Microbiology/Plant Pathology in South Africa. I have been volunteering at a school for disadvantaged kids assisting them with English, Maths, Science, and Biology while simultaneously igniting a passion for science as well.
I completed a 120hour TEFL certificate and I have been teaching online for more than six years. I thoroughly enjoy this job as it has exposed me to different traditions, cultures, skills, personalities, and also taught me how to work with people of different age groups.
My teaching style is based on a discussion teaching method that promotes learning through interaction. I encourage critical thinking and lively discussions by having fun activities and conversations. This teaching style allows students to learn how to fully express their opinions while enhancing their speaking, listening skills and of course polishing their fluency and pronunciation. I want my students to feel at ease and make mistakes without fearing judgment. Learning, having fun, and being 100% free is what make most of my students succeed in obtaining their respective English skills.
Experience has made me comfortable with almost all aspects of teaching, especially the language of English. Hence, I have a broad spectrum of strengths ranging from patience, taking responsibility, leading, and most importantly enthusiasm and creativity.
