Hi my name is Carmen de Bruin but I am better known as Teacher Carmen

I am 43 years of age and come from the beautiful and sunny South-Africa.

I currently hold a Level 5 180 hour TEFL certificate . I have 14 years teaching and classroom experience.

I love to travel and have been to England, Europe, Singapore,Bali and Malawi. I enjoyed talking to the native people and learned about their culture and ways of life. 

The Engish language is something I am incredibly proud of and I love to share my passion with learners from all ages.

II have 8 months online experience and worked for companies such as Magic ears in China and Eflita in Vietnam. I make use of props and TPR in my classroom for my young learners.

In my adult classes I create a relaxed atmosphere and with a lot of motivation and, with practice I help to build my students confidence so they can reach their goals. I  am particularly good helping my students with, correcting pronunciation, improving fluency and the correct use of grammar 

As a hobby I enjoy hiking, swimming and I love reading and writing stories.
