 明るい先生でした。評価が辛口なのはその先生の基準なのでOKですが、改善点はチャットボックスに残して頂けたらありがたかったです。発音は私が習っているネイティブ講師、ネイティブ級の講師に比べて聞き取りにくかったです。でも色々質問してもらえ、25分は楽しく過ごせました。ありがとうございました。

 Markii-sensei taught me several words that came up for the first time for me in a very easy-to-understand explanation. Especially, he drew a map to teach me the words “invade” and “invasion”. I’m a visual person, so the illustration that he wrote was so easy to understand. (The other words: bombing / Kiev/ sanction / indiscriminate / provoke / refugees.. .. .. )I enjoyed a lot.

 英会話を学びながら目標が変わりました。あるトピックについて「自分の考えをまとめてそれを発信」したい「もっと詳しく伝える」ようになりたい。今回は「成功の定義」についてという記事を3分前にお送りしまずはreadingして発音等をチェックしていただきました。私にとってとても難しい内容でしたが、自分の身近な経験に置き換えて、しどろもどろながらMarkii 先生に自分の考えをお伝えすることができました。生徒のニーズに合わせて柔軟にいかようにも咄嗟の質問等もしてくださる先生です。自分をさらにステップアップしたい方向けの実力派の先生だと思います。

 久しぶりにお会いすることができました。いつも通り、自分で書いた英文と発音のチェックをしていただきました。“reunion”がとても発音しにくいと伝えると“ ree-yoon-nyun” とコツを提示してくださったので、言えるようになりました。他、ri(ch) についてもコツを教わり、次回は　s と z について特訓してもらう予定です。 喉の奥から出すという c / k も実は苦手です。日本語にない声の出し方って難しいですね。ピンポイントでご指導いただけるのでありがたいです。

 I‘m glad to know that Mark-sensei is really interested in Japanese traditional ceremony. I showed our family’s photos for him. I asked him if there was similar ceremony in Philippines or not. As adult young people bear their responsibility. It’s the age of 20 in Japan ( voting election age is 18). In Philippines it’s the age of 21 for men and the age of 18 for women. I’ve never heard of it. It’s depends on each country. It’s so interesting.

 I read my script about “Nature Aquarium”that I saw last Friday.

 I learned a lot as usual. I’m a curious person, so I’d like to share my excitement about Banksy with Markii. Banksy has a lot of policies about social issues all over the world. I can imagine a lot about the meaning “consumerism ” by Mark-sensei’s explanations. By the way the drawing work named “Girl with Balloon”cutting by the shredder was sold. And after that his works became more expensive than before. What an irony !!

 疑問点、的確にわかりやすく教えていただけます。今回は、advance について名詞、動詞、形容詞の使い方と同義語についてフィードバッグの中に記載してくださいました。レッスン記録動画も送ってもらえるので復習できます。特に苦手な発音に特化してここ何回か指導してもらっています。p/b/v/f/l/r/t など少しずつ意識できるようになってきたかもです。

 Mark teacher figured out Mt.Fuji which was my topic today’s lesson. I was so interested in why women were not allowed to climb the mountain until the 19th century. I think it was an old tradition in Japan. Even now women are not allowed to stand in sumo wrestling ring though.
