Hi! My name is Nicole and I'm from the Philippines. I've always been passionate about building connections with people which is why I strived to get into organizations where I can fulfill this endeavor. I went from leadership training to debate clubs in our university. These experiences strengthened my critical thinking and communication skills which I'm able to apply in teaching effectively. I taught children to college-level students about oral communication skills, speech, conversational English, oral presentation, microbiology, and general biological sciences for three years. This experience made me realize how much I love teaching everything that I learned, especially the English language. Lastly, my strategy in teaching English includes helping students familiarize themselves with the language via verbal and kinesthetic approaches. I can say that my strengths include careful listening, intensive analysis, and patience. I believe that these characteristics are essential in teaching as these will help me in guiding my students assiduously. |
