 Thank you for another fruitful class, Bill. We read through the article about New Jersey's decision to legalize the sale of recreational marijuana. It's hard to agree with this policy for Japanese, but Bill's explanation helped me understand the complicated situation and the history of alcohol and drug in the U.S. I really enjoy studying with Bill, one of the most sought-after teachers in Eigox.

 It was great chatting with you, Bill.
As usual, Bill gave me lots of fascinating topics from a robot waiter that served Bill and his family in a restaurant to his recent purchase of a meal replacement called "Comp." We shared how it can be tough to keep our weight down with some jokes. Then we moved on to a subject about what type of practice other people do in his lessons. As I was worried about how I make use of online English conversation classes, he recommended some of the things I can do. I will probably prefer idiom-based lessons in the future.

 Yesterday's lesson was amazing as always. We first discussed therapeutic benefits with physiotherapists, traditional herbal medicine, tour boat accident in Hokkaido, and more. After that we read through the article about Russia's flagship that sank the other day. Bill taught me a variety of new words and expressions as well as how native speakers use some informal words.  We started the lesson with small talk: the progress of my new house and how the pandemic and the war pushed up its cost. He told me about the prospect of a cease-fire, which can lead to price decreases. And we also shared what we would have done if we were in the shoes of Will Smith on the Oscar Award.
And then, as I had requested Bill to check my essay on online shopping, we got into it. I read it aloud by a paragraph, and Bill made some corrections and changes so that the essay got more natural, specific, and convincing.
Lastly, he gave me his view on online shopping, and it reminded me that I had lacked the viewpoint that shopping at local stores means supporting local communities. He also shared a joke that is linked to online shopping by a popular American comedian.
Thank you, Bill. You always boost my mood.
