 Today, I had a free-talk lesson with Bill.
We started with small talks about our New Year's. He told me that he and his family coincidently saw his son's music teacher at a shrine on New Year's Day and that talking with him was a lot of fun. I always wondered what a good translation for omamori is, and he taught me that it's a talisman.
And then I got him to check a part of my job description, which I would use as a line for casual chitchat. He proofread it and rewrote it into a concise version for me.

It was an amusing conversation, and it was " replete " with a lot of laughter.
Thanks to random themes that Bill threw me one after another, we could keep our small talk interesting. I laughed my ass out at the part of us talking about Christmas time in Australia. That was a pretty good one. I like your sense of humor.
