Today we talked about climate and climate change both in Philippine and Japan. I haven't been familiar with Philippine climate, so most of what she explained to me was really surprising to me. Especially climate change from her childhood in Philippine seemed to me very significant even compared with Japanese situation. I enjoyed our chatting very much. Thank you, Deth. See you. |

We again had a lesson for greetings. I usually use only phrases that I learned in my junior high school days every time we start the Eigox lesson. I also have some difficulties when they uses other phrases in greetings. Today we practiced greetings again and again. When I did it well some times, she changed the phrases and continued to practice. She did it very cheerfully, so I could enjoy even this kind of simple practice. Thank you, Deth. See you soon! |

We continued to practice greetings. It's a very basic skill, but I can not respond smoothly. Deth allowed me to practice it again and again. Thank you, Deth. See you. |

Today I again asked her to let me practice greetings. I'm especially not good at responding greeting and inquiry after my health. So we focused on these parts and practiced them repeatedly. Deth played a same roll again and again with her big smile, so I was able to repeat those practices in a joyful way. Thank you, Deth. See you! |

Today we talked about how to greet. I'm always greeting in a same way and when others say in a different manner, I often feel bewildered. So I talked to her about it and I've realized I can't replace "How are you" to other phrases smoothly and I feel something is wrong when I answer it with other expressions. We did roll-playing some times for my practice. Thank you, Deth. See you. Take care. |

After some small talks of my boiler trouble and recent extreme weather in Philippine, we talked about my presentation. My presentation material shows the amount of food waste and a campaign for food waste prevention towards households in Japan. Deth asked some interesting questions to me and also taught me how to point each part of a slide, like "at the upper corner of the slide". It was very useful for me. She is an really excellent teacher. Thank you, Deth. See you! |

This was our first lesson. As I asked her to talk about food waste, we discussed food waste. First I explained the outline of my research work about food waste prevention policies. After that, she asked me many questions and suggested some issues. We talked about reasons to generate food waste, government policy for food waste reduction, breeding about eating habits, school education about food labeling and food waste, Filipino situation about food, etc. She facilitated our discussion very well, and at the same time, she pointed out my failures using message box of skype without saying it aloud. My skype application in my mobile phone shows them to me as pop-up massages. It's a very good method for English conversation lesson, I thought. Thank you very much, Deth. See you. |
