We read about climate change in an article. To be more specific, its main point was that airlines had not met their goals for climate change. Warmer summers are just the tip of the iceberg for global warming. The greenhouse effect and the loss of the ozone layer are more dangerous.
By 2030, Japan wants to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 46% from what they were in 2013. Because actions speak louder than words, I always follow the rule that says to put recyclables in the correct bins. I get frustrated when I can't find boxes to recycle. 
Hydrogen is a potentially emissions-free alternative fuel that can be produced from domestic resources for use in fuel cell vehicles. A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases.

I appreciate your helpful lesson. According to the article we read, in Europe, millionallors and billionallors argue that they should be taxed more. However, if they really believe so, I bet they can spontaneously create a foundation and donate for poor people like the Bill Gates foundation. I'd say, to prevent billionaires from evading taxes, an international taxation system should be established. In reality, however, creating an international taxation system will be difficult due to tax exemptions granted to small countries like Panama.

We read an article on Japan's decision to open its border to inbound tourists. I understand Japan's restriction on foreigners is the harshest among G7 countries. The gradual lift of control will stimulate Japan's economy but might endanger its general hygiene.

Thank you, Xandra! At first, we read an article on monkeypox. Then we practiced pronunciation, focusing on word stress, rhythm, and schwa sound. Since this was my first experience correcting my accent, it was pretty helpful and informative. Even if it takes a long time to master pronunciation, I'd like to keep practicing.

I booked two lessons in a row. This time, our theme was holidays; we addressed the Golden Week. This year, I could not enjoy the Golden Week because I needed to focus on a test. Ecotourism is a far cry from conventional tourism it was twenty years ago. On the other hand, tourist companies make a lot of profit by raising prices during the Golden Week - it costs an arm and a leg to visit foreign countries during the week. On Children's day, people pray for children's health; some people hoist carp streamers.
