We talked about an act of terrorism that happened on the night of Halloween in Tokyo.
I thought I tried to put together my thoughts on that incident through our conversation in order to write an essay.
In the middle of our conversation, I realized that the theme was too juicy for my English skills to handle, so sometimes, I was tripped up. However, her detailed explanations helped me get her points and broaden my perspective. We also talked about the extent of restrictions on freedom of expression, which gave me another point of view to analyze the cultural differences between Japan and the States. I learned a bunch of interesting words and phrases throughout our conversation, and talking about "Middle schooler-itis" should be the highlight of my day.
