I learned several vocabulary such as "bumper-to-bumper traffic","derelict buildings" and "sprawling city". Then I practiced describing them orally. During our small talk, I also knew a couple of words, "scunchie" and "fluorescent colours". Thank you :) |

Nice to speak with you! I reviewed the ideoms I learned during our last lesson and I went over two new ones - “sink or swim” & “thrown in the deep end.” I understood the meanings, but it is hard for me to use them in daily conversation. So I need more practice. Thank you so much :) |

Thank you for the lesson. This was our first lesson and I was happy to know that you have a scuba licence. It is very difficult for me to distinguish to pronaunce "l" and "r". I have a habit to pronaunce "r" in some words. Please tell me when you notice it like today. |

Today we talked about the past few days and whether we believe in ghosts or not, since my son is scared of sleeping by himself. We continued over some idioms about competition and I learned "to be neck and neck", "keep your eye on the ball" and "every man for himself." Thank you so much! |

We talked about the past few days and continued over some idioms, such as "to weigh one's options" and "to keep one's options open." I would like to be able to use these phrases naturally on conversation. I will try hard. Thank you :) |

After the lesson, I bought some shoes at Amazon. In that time, I found that I was Amazon Prime Member. I paid 3,900JPY unintentionally to become Amazon Prime Member. I guess this happened when I used Free Trial Quick Delivery. I told this to my girlfriend and she said that her sister made same mistake. This is almost swindling. According to the article you introduced, Amazon head Jeff Bezos is the one of 8 richest people. I'd like to urge him to "do the right thing." |

Samantha is very knowledgeable about international affairs because of her lots of experiences in various contries she lived. Her English sounds very professional and very stick to English grammar, which I think is one of the features of Canadian English. I hope that I can her other stories in her current living Georgia next time. |

Today we talked about making decisions and I learned several useful expressions, including "to have second thoughts," "to change one's mind," "to give it a lot of thought," and "to make a tentative decision." I made original sentences with using them, and she kindly corrected and typed in the chat box. Thank you so much! |

We introduced ourselves to each other. In addition, Samantha asked my purposes of studying English. She guided our conversation very kindly. I enjoyed talking with her a lot. |
