Hey there! I'm Justin! But you can just call me "Jun" (じゅん)! Let me tell you 10 things about myself!

 

1.) I was born and raised in the Philippines.

2.) I can speak Japanese! In fact, I'm currently studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (N1)! 日本語が話せます！実は、今日本語能力試験１級のために勉強しています。

3.) I major in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (分子生物学と生物工学）and my research topic is about prostate cancer （卒論の話題は前立腺癌です）(I'm trying to find a cure for it!).

4.) I am the Vice President of a student organization for business and sustainability. 

5.) I do a lot of marketing and graphic design for my organizations.

6.) I like Kinoko no Yama more than Takenoko no Sato! (We can still be friends even if you like Takenoko no Sato)

7.) I prefer dogs over cats! I have two cute dogs.

8.) I've been teaching and assisting Japanese exchange students at my university for over a year now.

9.) I'm a very patient tutor! Having studied languages myself, I understand how difficult it must be to learn English. I want to create an environment wherein students would not feel ashamed of themselves for making a mistake. Instead, I want students to feel proud of themselves for trying.

10.) I have a lot of Japanese friends. And I'd love to have more!
