 TOEFLのスピーキングタスク１を練習していて、発音面などでフィードバックがもらえないかお願いしてレッスンを実施していただきました。
年齢的に話し方が横柄なのはまだ許せますが、途中から明らかにやる気がなくなり、私のスピーチも「内容を覚えてない」と言われました。

 We saw a story about four pro-democracy activists being executed in Myanmar. The execution was Myanmar's first since 1990 and the first of a political prisoner since 1976. In a statement, Foreign Minister Hayashi denounced Myanmar's military dictatorship. The Japanese government, however, did not issue a statement between the time it became clear that four men would be slain and the time they were executed. As a result, it cannot be stated that Japan responded swiftly.

 ２年近くお世話になっている大好きな先生です。
あまりに素晴らしい学歴に、最初はちょっと怖くて偉ぶった人なのかなと心配でしたが、全くその心配はありません。本当に心優しい先生です。先生に出会えたことに本当に感謝しております。
少し目が悪く、チャットなどのPC操作には不慣れなようなのですが、それをカバーする位の熱心さとお人柄の良さ、尽きない話題でいつも時間を忘れてしまいます。

 We took in some information on Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhon's trip to Myanmar. He has high expectations of meeting with Aung San Suu Kyi in September, but it is unlikely that this will occur. This incident is a perfect example of what is meant by the expression "putting the cart before the horse." It is lunacy on the part of the military junta to claim that Suu Kyi may communicate her opinions via her counsel while also keeping her in captivity.

 The story we read was about tensions in Rakhine state after a five-day Myanmar navy exercise. Residents of Rakhine state must be concerned that a full-fledged civil war between the national military and the Arakan Army (AA) may erupt soon. Previously, the national military waged a brutal struggle against the AA from 2018 to 2020, when a ceasefire was established months before the army took control in a February 2021 coup.

 According to an article we read, a Myanmar fighter plane breached Thai airspace. However, Thailand seems to have made the correct option in not overreacting to the infiltration since Myanmar's purpose was not to risk the border, but to attack internal minorities who opposed the regime.

 We read an article on the "failed" Five-Point Consensus between Myanmar and ASEAN. In summary, the Five-Point Consensus calls for an immediate cease of violence, a constructive conversation, the appointment of a special envoy, humanitarian aid via the AHA Centre, and talks with all parties involved. The ASEAN nations are not homogeneous. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore are opposed to the Tahmadaw, whilst Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia are unwilling to interfere.
