Hi everyone! I am so happy to have the chance to teach you. I am an American from California and I live in Thailand. I have taught all levels of English from Nursery to Ph.D. students. My teaching style is patient, and I love to teach all ages, from very young to very old.
My strengths are teaching conversational English, writing, grammar, academic English, and accent reduction. I am also very good and VERY FAST at editing academic papers, books, etc. --I used to edit an international magazine. Additionally, I have 3 years experience as a personnel recruiter (head-hunter) and can help people prepare resumes and practice for job interviews.
I have a BA from U.C. Berkeley and Ph.D. from University of London in language studies. I held a post-doctoral faculty scholarship at Princeton University. My family and I now own a large private school in Thailand.
My interests include languages (Thai, Lao, Arabic, German, French, Spanish, beginner Japanese), sciences (gemology, archaeology, nutriional science, astrobiology), baking, making fermented foods, making herbal teas from my garden agriculture, diet and exercise, unusual phenomena, and business. I have always had many hobbies and collections, including fossils, coins, stamps, weapons, old books.
I have lived in many different countries, explored deserts in Saudi Arabia and the Sahara Desert of Tunisia. I have now been in Southeast Asia for 32 years.
This world is so fascinating, and I wish I could live forever, and teach all of you for as long as you wish!!!
