To all my current and/or new students: I have started a full time job and so I will not be able to have daily Eigox lessons. My only availability will most likely be during the weekends. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
こんにちは!
My name is Sophie. I am currently living in Ontario, Canada, where I graduated from the University of Toronto in the spring of 2021. Originally, I was born and raised in Yokohama, Japan and lived there for 18 years. I am half Japanese and half French Canadian! With my two cultural backgrounds, I believe I am very knowledgable with the two languages (Japanese and English) as well.
Since moving to Canada, I have become more adventerous. I love going on road trips, hikes, drives to the beaches, and doing any outdoor activities. When I am stuck at home, I love to bake and watch Netflix! But most of all, majoring in Education at university made me realize how passionate I am with teaching. I see myself teaching children in the future and having the profession as my long-term career. Ever since I was in middle school, I would tutor kids at the same international school I attended and have been tutoring and babysitting one-on-one since then.
As a person, I am very outgoing and love to meet new people. If you see me in a social gathering, I would be the one making new friends and getting to know people! My interpersonal personality allows me to love teaching and having conversations with others. Whether you are a kid wanting to learn English or an adult wanting to speak to someone who is fluent in English, I am always here for you! If you would like me to teach some something very specific, I can. If you want me to just have a basic conversation with you, I can do that as well. Anything from my teaching can be catered towards your needs.

I promise you all that I am wide awake and have caffeine in my system! I am writing this because in all honesty, I have had several comments from my students wondering if I am tired or not so I just wanted to make it clear for you all.
