Hi everyone! I'm Alex, I'm from Rochester, New York. I love watching movies, cooking, and playing the drums. I'm currently enrolled at the University at Buffalo for a Master's degree in Education (TESOL). While I take my own studies very seriously, I take my students' work seriously too. I always try my best to be as patient and understanding as I can be, as learning a foreign language can be very difficult to some.
Being a native English speaker, I can understand how hard it is to learn a foreign language, especially a completely new alphabet. The one thing I've kept with me while continuing to learn Japanese is that making mistakes is not only ok, but perfectly natural. While it's fine to be discouraged, keep in mind that the mistakes you may make only go towards becoming better in what you're learning.
While this is my first experience to teaching, I am happy to take the time students need to learn English to the best of their abilities. I truly enjoy conversation because it's beneficial to everyone involved! Both people are able to speak, get to know each other, and learn from one another. I look forward to meeting and speaking with you!
