Hello beautiful people!

My name is Batul, and many of my students lovingly call me Teacher B. I am from the beautiful city of Cape Town in South Africa.

I am a proud mother of two wonderful children, aged 11 and 9. I truly enjoy spending time with them through educational and creative activities that support mental, emotional, physical and spiritual growth. This naturally influences the way I raise and teach them and I use these same methods to connect with many of my students.

I studied Child Psychology and have a deep passion for working with and understanding people. I find it incredibly rewarding to meet individuals from different cultures, backgrounds and countries. I have been teaching English to foreign students for over five years, and I genuinely love what I do. Teaching allows me to grow alongside my students, as learning is a lifelong journey for both teacher and learner.

Growth is very important to me, which is why I focus on creating lessons that meet each student’s unique needs. I help students recognise and build on their strengths, making them feel relaxed and confident enough to make mistakes, because that is where real learning and fluency begin.

Outside of teaching, I love dancing and have graduated in Classical Indian Dance, where I also worked as a dance teacher. I also enjoy singing, reading, the arts, media and meaningful, intellectually stimulating conversations.

In my classes, I aim to create a safe, supportive and comfortable environment where students feel open and confident. When students feel comfortable, confidence grows naturally, and learning becomes enjoyable and effective.

I am fun, friendly and caring, while also taking my role as a teacher and my students’ progress very seriously.
