 エイゴックスに加入してまる二ヶ月が過ぎました。以前は週１回、２時間の近所の会話サークルのみでしたが、加入後はそれと合わせて週３回ほど英語を話す機会が得られるようになりました。サークル時代もそこそこ話すことはできたのですが、最近はどんどん言葉を繋げられるようになっています。ときにはネイティブスピーカー講師の先生の話を遮って質問したり、意見や感想を言うことができるようになりました。失礼かとも思いますが、それが自分の英語を伸ばすためだと思ってあえてそのようにさせていただいています。
リチャード先生との今日のレッスンもそのように比較的わがままに、良く言えば主体性を持って取り組めたと思います。先生は深い教養をお持ちで落ち着いた方とお見受けしましたが、表情豊かに私のコメディースキットを楽しんでくださったので、とても気分良く話すことができました。基本的に教材は自作のコントです。今日は３本シェアしました。先生が私の英語は良いと言ってくださったのは満更お世辞ではないのではないかと自信を深めているところです。レッスンは私の発表の場所です。そのために毎日英語の稽古とコントづくりに励んでいます。
