Thanks for the joyful and informative lesson today. Her English is natural and catchable which is good for me to practice natural conversation. The selection of wordings gives good awareness to build the sense of native English. The geezer is keen on horse riding, when John is in the equestrian club, he is transformed into a country guy wearing a suede jacket, a riding bootsand and a nice jodhpur. A good horse riding in the nature is his escapism in this era of pandemic. |

With over 6.8 billion humans to feed, the world is running out of land for farming. Furthermore, current farming techiniques consume 70 percent of the world`s supply of fresh water while wreaking environmental havoc through excessive use of energy, fertilizers, and pesticides. Agricultural researches agree on one point: farming must change. Some argue the solution is to increase yields through the use of genetically engineered crops. However, fears about the safety of such crops make this a partial solution at best. A more radical solution is vertical farming, in which crops are grown indoors in urban high-rise structures. Proponents say vertical farming would consume less water, reduce disease and pest risks, and cut down on waste. Having a food supply close to consumers would also save on transportation, and growing crops in a controlled climate would allow for a year-round growing season. Critics, however, counter these claims by pointing out that energy costs of growing crops indoors would far outweigh any savings. A staggering amount of artificial lighting would be required, and demand would be pushed even higher by having to control temperatures and deliver water and fertilizer to higher floors. |
