Today, after small talk, we reviewed the useful idioms.
* bite off more than you can chew
* blow somebody away
* by the skin of one's teeth
Jeff always tells me interesting and useful expressions,
using Google images to fix the meanings.
I asked him the meaning of "There is a catch."
He explained the meaning with various example sentences.
Now I understand "catch" means "trick" in this expression.
Lastly he introduced an interesting article about kids' reading books.
He kindly explained the points I couldn't understant.

We talked about typhoons and hurricanes that recently hit us, and their impacts on our lives. Then the topics moved on to people and cultures in Mexico comparing to the other countries in north and south America, which interested me a lot enabling me to catch Mexican atmosphere. いつも、ありがとうございます。
忘れてしまっていることに立ち返り、再度インプットすることも楽しいようです。
確り覚え直したいと、本人は言っています。
なみこ先生のフォニックス指導のおかげで、最近　急にアルファベットの文字を読むようになってきました。
意味が掴めない文字もあるようですが、読んでいると、音で知っている言葉だとわかると、本人も興奮して嬉しそうにしています。英語の絵本を読もうかな？なんて言っています。
先生の指導の賜物です。
