19世紀の異国船の到来のうち、フェートン号事件とモリソン号事件についてお話しました。「異国船打払令」が1825年に出され長英らが政府の対外政策を批判したことが蘭学者の弾圧につながりました。この時代の出来事を見ても学ぶべきことは多いと思います。 |

このクラスでは、江戸時代の蘭学者高野長英についてお話しました。逃亡中に西洋の兵学論を翻訳しました。 その本が｢三兵答古知幾」で、興味深いのは「Tactics」(戦略）を「とうこちいき」と音訳したことです。さらに興味深いのは原作者の Heinrich von Brandt という人がナポレオン戦争に参加していたことです。長英先生のご努力に報いるためにもしっかり勉強したいと思います。 |
