Thank you for wonderful lesson yesterday. Thanks to you,James. First we talked about Golden Week. Next we continued with Lesson21 Part3 and Part4. Part4 was very hard for me. I was depressed because I couldn't speak well. I received a gentle word of encouragement from him. So I'll keep on learning English even more! おおらかな優しい先生です! 初心者の英語でもしっかり聞いて下さいます。 |

I showed my son’s “Kabuto display ” and small “Koi-Nobori 🎏” to Evelyn-sensei. She was interested in my explanation. She asked me a lot of question. I did my best. I wonder if she understood the detail about them. Also I read the “Kintaro” story rapidly. I lent an English picture book of Kintaro to explain to others from a library. I had a great time with her. |

We mainly talked about my sister's visit. I went to a game center with them. Even though I feel a covid surge is almost over during the Golden Week, my sister told me there were a lot of vacant at her flight. I heard there might be another surge at New York. Also we talked about a tour boat which missed on seabed off Hokkaido. 26 people were on the boat, 14 people were found dead, 12 people are still missing. What a tragedy for the passengers. The captain didn't follow regulations. He didn't check the conditions of the sea. No other captains didn't go out on the wataer on that day. |

Today's article was about Hitler's suicide. It wasn't easy to understand as it contained some historical events and geopolitical circumstances. Mark is knowledgeable about world history and he kindly answered all my questions and explained the underlying meaning. I really appreciate it and see you next time! |

I booked two lessons in a row. This time, our topic was about books. I introduced a book I recently read titled China-Japan Rapprochement and the United States: In the Wake of Nixon's Visit to Beijing. This book blew my mind because it depicted the 1972 Sino-Japanese negotiations in normalizing the bilateral relations after then U.S. President Nixon visited China over Japan's head. I was bowled over by historical figures such as Kakuei Tanaka, Masayoshi Ohira, Mao Zedong, and Zhou Enlai as well as Nixon. |

Our topic was none other than communication. When we talked about advice, I addressed my mentor's two pieces of instruction; I followed in my mentor's footsteps and researched in the U.S., which cost an arm and leg, but eventually, I found my feet. I appreciate your enjoyable lesson! |
