I had a VERY useful lesson with Wendy today. I sent her a newspaper article which I did not understand clearly. I asked her all new words and expressions and her explanations, using examples were very easy to understand. I read it aloud so that she checked my pronunciation as well. I will make some sentences with those new words as my homework and show her them next time. I thought using newspaper would be very useful for me to improve my English skills. Thanks Wendy, see you soon!

当初の印象では、先生が話しすぎる感じがしましたが、今日はとても有益なレッスンが受けられたと思います。
これまでは先生にレッスン内容をおまかせしていたのですが、今日はこちらから新聞の記事をスキャンしたファイルをスカイプで送りました。音読して発音もチェックしてもらえましたし、新しい単語や表現をとても分かりやすく説明してもらったので、ぼんやりとしか分からなかった記事の意味がはっきりとつかめました。ウェンディ先生は、単語や表現についての知識がかなり豊富だと思います。受け身ではなく、こちらからきちんと要望を伝えれば、中身の濃いレッスンが受けられると実感しました。今後もこのスタイルでレッスンを受けようと思います。

I really enjoyed reading and talking about the article about cats John sent to me today. He knows what I'm intereted in. I read the whole article even after the lesson. John types appropriate expressions and words every time. I respect him for being diligent as an excellent teacher .
