Her lesson was exciting, and she kindly prepared the article for the lesson before the lesson even thought I had not asked her. I was empressed her kindness. |

We read an article about nuclear radiance which may bring some risks of causing cancer. As usual, Ana encouraged me to express my ideas as much as possible and then showed some examples of better expressions for me. When I couldn't understand her question, she kindly repeated it or said it differently. In the lesson, she diligently wrote down the key words, phrases and sentences during the lesson. This is helpful for my review later. |

Today's article was about the old homeless in Tokyo. I learned a phrase "rat race" and other key words. It is still difficult for me to surmmarize the article and to organize my opinion for a short time. But I need such a traning, so this was a good lesson though the subject of the article was not entertaining but serious. The tempo was good enough to keep a good tension. Since Sheree speaks the Queen's English beautifully, I can have a good opportunity to listen to British English. |

Penny & I read an article about the statues in Kofukuji Temple in Nagasaki. The subject was interesting and I could make some comments. Reading, listening to her questions, thinking, organizing my thought and then expressing myself - this process confused me as usual, but she was patient with me. Basically, I'm not so talkative and it takes some time to express myself even in Japanese. So, her patience really helps me. I am happy when I can speak a little better or more than before. |

Today I read an article about a lot of expressions about dog. The article is not so difficult, but the topics caught my attention because some idiomatic phrases are new to me. I have little knowledge of idiomatic phrases, so this article will be helpful. Mat has a good sense of choose an interesting article. In other words, he seems to be able to adjust the way of teaching to each student's ability and concern. |

Today's subject was about learning and education. This is not an irrelevant topic for me because I'm learning English right now. So, it is easier to approach. Of, couse, expressing myself very well is another thing. But, Ana checked my English and I felt that I could glimpse at a way of thinking in English. It was also helpful that Ana encouraged me to talk more when I was hesitant about doing it. Anyway, it'll be important to keep practicing. You know as they say practice makes perfect. |

I read an article about a relationship between English grammar and English speakers' attitudes toward their future. Since the topic was interesting to me, I could make a comment about it. As usual, Mat explained about it, saying jokes. That made a good atomosphere in his lesson. |
