I use to memorize 百人一首 when I was about my daughter's age. Most of them are about love or feeligs between a man and a woman. I still don't understand why students need to spend so much time to memorize that kind of stuff. We learn Abeno Nakamaro's one in Japanese history class. Onono Komachi, the three greatest beauty in the world (we say in Japan), her poem is also well known.

I've been practicing conversational English for many years, and I can definitely tell that Sarah is the best teacher I've ever had.
Her sweet voice really makes me feel better even when I'm sleepy and don't feel like studying.
She sometimes kindly corrects my mistakes, which is so helpful.
I'm sure I'm going to be much more fluent if I keep taking her lessons.
