 英会話の勉強は始めてで、レッスン中、英語での表現に苦しんでいるときにも、英語で手を差し伸べてくれる先生です。
おそらく、講師の先生は、日本語を理解されていて、私が、英語表現で苦しんでいる点について、日本語で説明をいれることも可能な感じなのですが、敢えて英語でヘルプをいれてくれるのでとても勉強になります。おすすめであります。

 Today, we had a free conversation.
Jeff told me that DST (Daylight Saving Time) will be made permanent
from Nov. next year. I learned it will benefit many Americans.
He offered me the topic about President Biden's visit to Japan.

 Today, Jeff told me how Black Friday is.
I want to know American culture and life.
He showed me the related article and explained me understandably.
It's Friday after thanksgiving day and the start of shopping holiday season.
The color of black indicates gaining profits in accouting terms.
And there are interesting trend of it these days.

 Today, I learnd about Thanksgiving.
Jeff showed me pictures of Thanksgiving dinner, they look so delicious, roast turky has impact for me.
People reflect on God's blessing in their daily lives on the day.
He taught me gratitude is the key to happiness. I can't agree more with it.
Then he explained how DST (Daytime saving time) works with article and charts.
It was understandable to catch basic items clearly even though it is complicated.

 Today, we started from "bath" topic.
We talked about Japanese hot spring spots and Jeff introduced me
a nice national hot springs park in Arkanso.
He asked me some questions about bath and I answer them
that is a good practice to improve speaking skills.
I learned the new expressions and words as below.
Now we are in business.
spring to mind = come to mind
What springs to mind when you hear a hot spring?
prefer --- to (over) ---
bath preparation is time-consuming
....etc.

 First, I described the picture Jeff chose.
Today's picture was a broken submarine.
I've never known that there are some mountains on the bottom of the sea
and submrines possibly hit them because the rate of mapping the bottom of the water
is about 25% of the world ocean. Further, submarine usually can not use soner
to avoid being spotted by other countries.
It's dangerous and difficult for submarines to keep traveling safely.
It was very new information!
Then, we read the article, "How reading aloud can help you bond with your kids
and make them better readers."
He broke down some long sentences to clear the structure and explained the
meaning understandably. That's so helpful.
