Hello! My name is Jo from San Diego, California, USA. I am very excited to be your teacher and friend here in Eigox. I am 28 years old, and very open to sharing and learning different cultures from all over the world. I am an indoor person, I love to stay at home most of the time, reading, watching films and cooking. Nothing is better than being very cozy in your own comfortable place. When I do go outdoors, I usually go to places where there is nature. So, I would be either hiking, camping or walking by the beach.

All these hobbies I have, goes well with another interest of mine, which is, traveling. With that, I am able to be exposed to the different cultures and languages that I come across as I interact with local people in places I go to. That's when I discovered my passion in teaching English. As I wanted to learn how to communicate with different people in their own language, they also wanted to learn to communicate with me through English.

Teaching English as a Second Language for 4 years, I learned the best pathway to go about it from a beginner to an advanced level. We can start by breaking down the most basic and foundational parts of the English language. Knowing the kinds of words, what groups they belong to, will help you understand how and when to use them. Then, we will learn how to form a sentence and make use of these words to express ourselves. This is how we learn grammar. Then, as we learn how to write it, we also know how to say it and speak in a conversation. This is a process that you can comfortably walk with me as we improve and learn each time.

It is my pleasure to be patient with my students and involve fun as a part of our lesson. My personal belief is, to become passionate about something, you need to love it and be dedicated to it. And that's what we're going to do in our time learning together. I can't wait to meet you!
