My name is Kevin. Having just graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines with an accounting degree, I decided to teach English part-time due to Covid-19. Little did I know that I would fall in love with teaching. As of this day, I have taught over 550 lessons to various age groups.
Growing up with an American father and Filipina mother made me efficient in both Tagalog and English. This made me the bridge over the language barrier my parents would occasionally experience. Eventually, my fluency in both languages proved helpful in the Philippine classrooms as I became the go-to-student for help in English. Studying in America under the Cambridge AICE Program helped me solidify my proficiency in English.
Hobbies and interests of mine are playing basketball, uploading YouTube vlogs, growing rice, travelling the Philippines, and of course teaching. Future goals of mine would be to teach as an ALT in the Japanese school systems. This will help me learn more about the culture of Japan, which I was always interested in.
Do not be shy around me! I am very patient and kind as a teacher. Pronunciation, speech speed, and accent would be no problem in my classes as I tend to make them optimal for my students. This is for you to absorb all the knowledge you need to improve your English. my strengths would be pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. I have scored a 109/120 in the TOEFL exams, so if you need help there, I would be happy to do so. Feel free to book my classes anytime I am available. Hoping to see you or your child/ren in one of my classes.
