My name is Raquel Frankson, I am a native English speaker and I am from the beautiful country of South Africa. I am inspired by nature, music, movement and the joy of others, I love hiking, camping, practising yoga, dancing and playing the West African Djembe drums. I am patient, kind and optimistic and I love to teach because I enjoy sharing skills that I have and helping others. It is valuable to know how to communicate using English because it is such a widely spoken language and it is an honour and privilege to be able to help others acquire this skill. When I am teaching I focus on connection, interaction and engagement. It is important for my students to feel comfortable with me to create a safe open channel for information to flow to ensure that my lesson are geared toward their needs. I use energetic, fun warm ups and make sure to incorporate a lot of movement, humour, and stimulation to keeps students energised and engaged especially for my lessons with children. My skills include creatively introducing new words and phrases, correcting pronunciation and correcting basic grammar. I have a Bachelors Degree in environmental science and a certification in teaching English as a foreign language. I am here to help practice your English for general conversation, interview conversation and English for travel. I am so excited to connect and explore the English language with you.
