I will be away from Eigox during the followimg times:
Saturday 2nd December to Saturday 9th December
Wednesday 20th December to 5th January. I will be back on Eigox from Saturday January 6th
November 2023 Edited to add:
I have been teaching on Eigox for around 8 years, and have met many wonderful people.
Some of you will know that my husband has recently retired and that, because of this, I am opening fewer lessons in order to spend more time with him. I am aiming to teach on Tuesdays and Saturdays each week, but will be taking more time off than before for holidays. I am also much older than when I started at Eigox (I'm currently 61!) which means that I get a little more tired than I did 8 years ago.
I would like also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has ever taken a lesson with me.
Hello! My name is Kathryn, I am a Native English speaker and I live in the Cotswolds, a beautiful part of the UK, with my husband and little pug dog Daisy.
I am a happy person with a good sense of humour, and I love to meet and talk to people of all ages. I have a wide variety of interests and hobbies: I love to travel, listen to music (from current to classical), read, go to the cinema, cook, look after our garden and watch Liverpool Football Club (which is not much fun sometimes because my husband is a Manchester United fan!)
I keep fit by taking my pug dogs Daisy and Sam for walks in the Cotswolds countryside.
I have a business background, and worked in marketing before I ran my own online business with my husband. More recently I have worked as a Virtual Assistant working with many different business clients using skype. I am organised and resourceful, and am experienced in small business accounting systems, database management, website design, customer services and direct marketing.
I have trained many colleagues and employees throughout my working life, and find it immensely fulfilling to help somebody by sharing my knowledge with them. I love the English Language (having studied it to Degree level) and am passionate about passing on my enthusiasm. I am customer focussed, very flexible and have a lot of work and life experience that should make my lessons interesting and fun!
I am so pleased to be working with Japanese students, and am looking forward to learning about Japan’s beautiful scenery and traditional culture during our conversations. I do have a little bit of Japan in my own garden - we have two lovely Japanese Maple trees, and some pretty Japanese Azalea’s. While it is just not possible to recreate a Japanese garden in the Cotswolds, my husband and I were certainly influenced by Japanese style when we designed our garden and have managed to create a calm and relaxing garden with a winding gravel path - perfect to sit in on a summer evening and enjoy a barbecue!
I love planning lessons and thinking up new and exciting ways to make the English language come alive, so if there is anything in particular you'd like to work on, please let me know and I'll do my best to help.
I am looking forward to speaking with you soon!
