Yesterday, we talked about complaints. When I was in customer service department, I often dealt with complaints. One day, my colleague ask me to deal with customers call which he received. He said he couldn’t understand what customer says. As soon as I was transferred the call, elderly customer didn’t tell the complaints but started his story. It was mostly funny things. He said that many aliens already invaded our society but government hides the fact. He talked without stopping, and I did nothing but heard. Sometimes I turned the phone into speaker mode, many colleague heard it. Some colleague giggled and the some said he must be insane. After he showed off his knowledge over 50 min, he finally talked his intention. He would like to get consulting job from our company. Then I said “Unfortunately we can’t. That's good enough”.

Britain was a trail blazer of social security system. But, nowadays, though European(especially Scandinavian) countries still have advanced social security, Britain is going different way. Why Britain changed? When Britain changed? Japan and Britain is very similar. That was today's topics.

自己紹介 Hello everyone!

My name is Preston, and I am an American English teacher from Southern California and post-graduate student majoring in Cultural Anthropology. I previously graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature, and am currently pursuing my masters degree at Cal State Northridge.

I am also spending the summer of 2017 in the South of Spain to improve my Spanish for my future research.(as well as the beautiful beaches!)

I have spent the last 2 years residing in South Korea and Thailand working as an English school teacher for primary level students. I also visited Japan(mostly Osaka) for 4 months and am hoping to be fluent in Japanese in the future.

I love learning new languages, and I think that my love for languages helps me empathize(relate) with my students on a personal level so that I can be a better tutor. I also love learning about the world and how all humans are fundamentally the same, and that's why I am working to become a cultural Anthropologist and enjoy working with international students!

I love reading fiction in my spare time and also aspire to be a writer. I personally enjoy much of Haruki Murakami's work but I am open to suggestions about other Japanese writers!

Teaching is a great passion of mine, and I hope to make my sessions with students fun and intensive, so that you can have fun but also improve your language as quickly as possible. I will do my best to develop high quality lessons, shared and personalized, so that you can benefit from our time together as much as possible.

I look forward to meeting and working with all of you. Please don't be shy and send me a message if you have any questions!
