We talked about the article "Third of farmed fruit and veg deemed too ugly to sell". Unexpectedly, a lot of fruit and vegetables have been discarded which are misshapen and worng size. The reason is that customers tend not to buy irregular size or shaped produces. This trend is also seen in Japan. But, actually quite a few customers don't mind shape and size of produces if the quality is same. To select good fruits and vegs, farmers grow excess produces and spend much energy and logistics become complicated. We should accept such produces which are ugly but have standard quality. Mark explained my unfamiliar words and phrases and suggested the essential points of the article. Especially, I like "wonky" =not straight or level, sounds cool. "go a long way to..",,,etc. Thank you, Mark for the interesting topic as always. See you next time.

It's been a while to have Chris's lesson since we had Obon holidays, but I'm relieved that their English wasn't getting rusty. They enjoyed his lesson very much as usual. I'm happy that they are learning a lot from Chris.

自己紹介 Hello :D
My name is Edie. My experience include;

Notable competencies include:

• TEFL-Certified
• Bachelors degree in Psychology and Sociology
• Skilled in communicating with varied audiences of cultural diversity.
• Constant desire to raise English language level of students.
• Developed reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in students aged 10 - 60.

For more information about me and my background, please continue reading.

I grew up in London, England, and later moved down to the coastal town of Brighton to study at university. I am in possession of both, TEFL certification and a BA in Psychology and Sociology. Throughout my Psychology and Sociology program, I have had the opportunity to examine foundational and current theories and gain knowledge of human thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I have two years experience teaching English as a foreign language.I have ample experience in applying appropriate teaching methods and possess an ability to communicate complex information in an understandable way that students can easily comprehend. I am passionate about English language and keenly interested in helping students become high achievers.

As for my hobbies;
I love to embark on adventures abroad, to delve into other cultures, try local dishes, meet new people, and to learn about different ways of life. Every place I have visited has taught me something about life and myself. I also love to read, watch films, go to the cinema and photography.

My aim is to make lessons fun, this is not to say that I ignore the necessary work of learning grammatical concepts and vocabulary-building. I shall incorporate these into the lessons in a way that contributes to your learning. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to my students development.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you!
